Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the ABVT Veterinary Travel Award a candidate must:
- Be a graduate of a veterinary school or college accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA); or possess a certificate of accreditation in veterinary medicine from the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates of the AVMA; or be legally qualified (e.g. licensed or equivalent) to practice veterinary medicine in some state, province, territory, or possession of the United States or Canada or other country.
- Be actively involved in toxicology or a closely related field (i.e., pharmacology, nutrition, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, public health, toxicologic pathology to name a few examples). Involvement includes employment or enrollment in a residency or graduate program.
This is a competitive program. ABVT Diplomates are not eligible for the award.
